The team behind The Civil Engineering CenterThis whole work wouldn't have been possible without these great guys! Ahmed Yasser Ikbaryah (left) Ahmed Zaki Assad (right) and me in the middle. Our years extending friendship was translated into unprecedented dedication. They have believed in me and my idea, and supported me till we were able to publish the website. Countless long nights and weekend were spent in scanning the documents on this website. Much effort and obstacles were smoothened with the fun times we have spent together. We worked on this website more than 10 years ago, and we are still in contact till this date (2019).
The Civil Engineering Center VisionOur aim is to provide educational services for students of Civil Engineering all over the world, though some of the pages on this site are prepared especially for students of the Civil Engineering Department in the University of Jordan. And also we aim to provide a clear image of the Civil Engineering profession and its several fields, so that new students can decide whether they want to join this field or not.
The Civil Engineering Center Mission
How it all startedA H M 531 had been a target aimed to several years ago; when I was a kid I used to design simple websites named AHM531 related to several different topics, and then placed them on some free servers online. After joining the Civil Engineering Department in the University of Jordan, I found a lack of the technical use of technology, from here the idea of an online web service center for students in the UJ was developed. A web service center containing lecture notes, past exams, E-books and other online services related to the profession and career life of a Civil Engineer.
Last summer I attended a webpage design course using HTML as a first step of getting A H M 531 into lights. Using HTML this site was designed, though it is the simplest method of designing, it helped me to make it as I imagined. I aim to continue learning in the field of webpage designing using more professional languages to develop AHM531 continuously. Several versions of "A H M 531:The Civil Engineering Center" were designed but without publishing them online, now as the dream has become into reality it is finally online available with its free services for all Civil Engineers in the world and especially to my colleagues in the University of Jordan. Help and support from my friends and family formed a major part of the existence of this site, Thank you all. And special thanks to my best friends and team colleagues Ahmed Zaki and Ahmed Yasser.
